GRAHAM WALKER THE CARILLON Many Red River College Polytech students, several of which were mature students, expressed appreciation that the Steinbach campus was available to facilitate their educational and professional aspirations rather than having to make the burdensome commute to Winnipeg.

Austman was awarded the Andrew Grant Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 and will study science at the University of Manitoba, while Strom was awarded the MCC Thrift Store Award of $500 for bettering her community or school by volunteering.
