L.A. Barkman Park is located at Giesbrecht Street and Woodlawn Avenue. A lovely, treed park with a walking and cycling path and small picnic shelter. It’s a great place to spend a winter day tobogganing! This picturesque park bursts with spectacular floral displays - a perfect backdrop for summer weddings. The focal feature is a circular raised timber frame gazebo. E.A. Friesen Park is located on Elmdale Street, next to the Jake Epp Library. A picnic shelter, volleyball court and playground equipment are available to the public. During the winter months the Steinbach Curling Club offers four sheets of artificial ice for those looking to polish up their curling game. Numerous curling leagues and bonspiels keep the curling club a busy place during the cold, winter months! Located in the heart of the city, over 60 programs in various arts and wellness programs serve the community. The Hall Gallery is located in this Centre, and features monthly art exhibits by local and guest artists. The Arts Council also presents a Concert Series throughout the season, a KR Barkman Concerts in the Park series, Family shows, and Young Artists in Concert which features emerging artists. They also are proud to oversee the Visual and Performing Artists who fill the Main Stage at the Summer in the City downtown street festival. New to Steinbach is the Southeast Event Centre. This large Centre offers Steinbachers concerts, MJHL games, catering and party rentals and so much more!
